Free Access to Electronic Books & Resources

Students have access to electronic books through our Library Database, Follett Destiny.
Click here for a tutorial or just follow the steps below: 
See steps below:
1. Click on the Follett Destiny blue icon inside student Clever account or click on Destiny Follett Book Tree on webpage under News and Announcements. 
2. Click on Demorest. 
3. Search by Keyword, Title, Author, Subject, Series (Since there are limited subjects, etc. in electronic books - students might want to leave this blank)
4. Underneath the search bar, be sure to change material type to "electronic books" from the drop down menu. 
5. Students can also put in their AR level by clicking on Reading Programs drop down menu and selecting Accelerated Reader - a box will pop up for them to put in their AR level/range.
6. Click enter and enjoy the exciting e-books we have available.

Open eBooks -- This app can be downloaded on a phone or ipad.  Students will launch the app and then be prompted to log in through clever.  Through this app, students have access to a library of books for their level.

Project Gutenburg -- https://www.gutenberg.org/ -- Access through the website to many free classic novels.  No username or password needed. eBooks can be downloaded in a variety of formats for your devices.

Where do I find books?  Login, then choose the link to “Browse by Type”, choose “Books and Book Reviews,”  Many choices (here’s one to consider - some only give recommendations):

Ebooks on EBSCO host -- you can search by topic, I just scrolled down and hit search -- lots of choice!

You might also search the main Galileo site and find books.

This is the Georgia Public Libraries site.  They have ebooks BUT you have to have an account/Pines card.

Follet eBooks

 
  1. Go to destinydiscover.com.

  2. In the Location box, it says “Any Location.” Do not change.

  3. In the School box, enter
    “Follett eLearning, McHenry, IL” and click Go!

  4. To log in, click on the “Log In” button at the top right of the screen.

  5. Username: guest

  6. Password: follett
